My name is James Gleeson and have been with Amtrak for seven years as an LSA out of Chicago. While working onboard, I have acquired my Bachelor’s in Finance (2013) and my Master’s in Public Administration (2015). Also, in 2015, I became a recipient of the P.S.S.A. (President’s Service & Safety Award) for excellence in customer service. Known for being outspoken, I continue to network with various passengers, lobbyists, and political figures on the Lincoln Service between Chicago and St. Louis. I have worked closely with Derrick James from Amtrak’s Department of Government Affairs to do “special assignments” and obtain substantial information on how that department operates in conjunction with various departments and states.
Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Organizational Leadership. Given my skill set and ambition to want to learn more and address topics, it will be my pleasure and honor to represent you through Local 43.
